I love apple blossoms. When we purchased our first house (=current house), I wanted to plant an apple tree in my yard. Unfortunately, our backyard doesn't get enough sun and have enough space for an apple tree to spread its branches. So I gave up.
Our neighbor had a different ideas. He liked to cram all kinds of flowering trees and fruit trees in his also small shady yard. When he and his family moved out early this year, his columnar apple tree was left behind.
Now I can enjoy beauty of apple blossoms without my annoying neighbor.

大好きなりんごの花
家を買った時、一番植えたかったけれど、うちの庭は日当たりのよい場所があまりなく、これ以上日陰を作りたくないので、残念だけどあきらめた
後から越してきた、園芸オタクではた迷惑だった隣人は、うちと隣接するわずかな陽当たりのよい地面に、ほとんど無理やり、直立タイプのりんごの木を植えた
そんな彼らは、年明け早々に引っ越し、りんごの木は今もある
鬱陶しかった隣人がいない今年は、りんごの花の愛らしさを素直に楽しめる
